This is a photo montage of moon images shot on September 27th, 2015. It shows the progression from a full lunar eclipse (known as the "Blood Moon" due to the red color) to the full supermoon. The last such eclipse occurred in 1982 and won't occur again until 2033.
I love the art of photography and through it I try to capture the beauty of nature and the world around me. I have lived on the central coast of California near the town of Avila Beach for most of my life which has given me many photographic opportunities in this beautiful area. I also love the Sierra Nevada mountains and have photographed extensively on both the western and eastern sides.
