This is a night photo of the Milky Way taken with a long 25 second exposure. A Perseid meteor can be seen streaking down on the right side of the Milky Way. This image was taken a little later in the night than my next Milky Way and Perseids image so the Milky Way is standing more straight up rather than arching in the sky.

I love the art of photography and through it I try to capture the beauty of nature and the world around me. I have lived on the central coast of California near the town of Avila Beach for most of my life which has given me many photographic opportunities in this beautiful area. I also love the Sierra Nevada mountains and have photographed extensively on both the western and eastern sides.
