This is a photo of the interior of the Amargosa Opera House. The Amargosa Opera House and Hotel is a historic building and cultural center located in Death Valley Junction, in eastern Inyo County, California near Death Valley National Park. The beautiful murals on the walls were painted by the late Marta Becket.
I love the art of photography and through it I try to capture the beauty of nature and the world around me. I have lived on the central coast of California near the town of Avila Beach for most of my life which has given me many photographic opportunities in this beautiful area. I also love the Sierra Nevada mountains and have photographed extensively on both the western and eastern sides. My work is for sale here on Fine Art America as well as with Getty Images online: http://www.gettyimages.com/search/2/image?family=creative,editorial&artists=Mimi%20Ditchie&excludenudity=false My flickr photostream can be seen at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mimigd/ If you see an image on my flickr photostream that you want that is...
