This is a photo taken on a dirt road in the Alabama Hills near sunset. They are located near the town of Lone Pine in the Eastern Sierras. Because the sun sets behind the Sierra Nevada mountains sunset comes early in the Alabama Hills. Many commercials and movies have been made there including famous old westerns.
I love the art of photography and through it I try to capture the beauty of nature and the world around me. I have lived on the central coast of California near the town of Avila Beach for most of my life which has given me many photographic opportunities in this beautiful area. I also love the Sierra Nevada mountains and have photographed extensively on both the western and eastern sides.
